  1. My Service Learning By: Danielle Lalk

  2. Mars Hill Church Easter Egg Hunt • Each year my church holds an Easter Egg Hunt for the children. • This year they decided to extend the hunt to an all day event.

  3. Arts and Crafts • The kids made palm trees out of their hand prints. • Part of the youth trying to hide from me! (at the top) • Me and my arts and crafts partner Jamey

  4. Lunch Time!!! • After arts and crafts it was lunch time with the kids. • Peanut butter and jelly for the kids and ham and cheese for the adults!

  5. Story time • After lunch everyone sat down for story time with the Youth Group. • It’s hard holding their attention but we tried the best we could

  6. Hiding the eggs… don’t peak! • There’s me hiding eggs for the three year olds (and posing for the camera!) • Each age group had their own areas for hunting eggs so we had to hide 4 groups of eggs in different areas!

  7. The Hunt • We thought we hid the eggs in easy spots… but I think we overestimated the three year olds! • All one hundred and twenty eggs were finally found and it was time to move on to the six year olds.

  8. The older ones • Eggs were scattered over hills, under trees, and behind cars for the older ones… needless to say they finished faster than we thought. • Never underestimate a kids love of chocolate!

  9. The End • After the older ones finished with their egg hunt we were finally done. • After about an hour of clean-up it was time for us to go home. • The day was long but I had a blast working with the children. I left my church with a better attitude. • I got the chance to do something for all the kids at the church and spend time with a lot of people that I have pulled away from in the past couple months. It was a great experience for me.
