  3. Combat Controller (1C2X1) • Average deployment: Active Duty: 77 days National Guard: 93 days • Extremely competitive • Pass Combat Control Team Physical Ability and Stamina Test.

  4. Combat Controller • Directs and controls the delivery and battlefield application of lethal and non-lethal airpower. • Provides limited weather observations • Plans, organizes, supervises, and establishes air traffic control in the target area. • Deploys into forward areas and forward operating locations.

  5. Combat Controller Continued • Identifies, assesses, and marks assault zones with visual and electronic navigation aids for day and night air-land and airdrop operations. • Plans, coordinates, and conducts fire support operations to include close air support and supporting arms.

Pararescue (1T2X1) • Performs, plans, leads, supervises, instructs, and evaluates pararescue activities. • Provides assistance in and performs survival, evasion, resistance, and escape • Uses aerial and surface methods to load and assist in loading objectives • Conducts scuba, adverse terrain, and mountain rescue and recovery operations. • Supports the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in recovery of aerospace personnel and materiel
