What are we doing in BSW Region? • Regional councils, government departments, industry stakeholders have all been actively involved in an integrated regional planning process over the past 12 months. • Improving health and wellbeing has been a key focus • G21 and Great South Coast Regional Plans finalised mid 2010 • Priority medium term projects aimed at addressing disadvantage and inequality • Community strengthening initiatives • Opportunities to work together on the determinants of health inequality and disadvantage • Moving quickly from a planning phase to an implementation phase

Health and wellbeing sector aligned effort • G21 and Great South Coast Community health and wellbeing profiles – LGA and sub regional evidence bases • G21 Health and wellbeing strategy • Great South Coast Draft Health and wellbeing strategy – “Healthier together” • Council Plans • Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plans • Primary Care Partnership strategic plans including co-ordinated health promotion effort • Strengthened alignment of priorities, effort and commitment that needs to be built on
