  1. What is April fools day? • April Fools' Day is celebrated in many countries on April 1 every year. • Sometimes referred to as All Fools' Day • It is widely recognized and celebrated as a day when people play practical jokes and hoaxes on each other.

  2. Why is it celebrated? • There are various theories for its celebration. • It’s origin is uncertain. • Therefore we cannot trace back to it’s authentic origin and cause of celebration

  3. Question.... Can we celebrate April Fools day?

  4. Think.... April Fool’s day is all about..... • Lying. • Playing pranks. • Time pass/ vain. • Following a futile culture.

  5. Abu Umamah Al-Bahili (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said," I guarantee a home in the middle of Jannah for one who abandons lying even if its just for the sake of fun''[Abu Dawud].

  6. It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah(RA) that the Messenger of Allah(peace be upon) said:"The signs of the hypocrite are three: when he speaks, he lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; and when he is entrusted with something, he betrays that trust."  (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 33; Muslim, 59) 

  7. HazratWasilah[Allah be pleased with him] reported that the Messenger of Allah(peace be upon) said: "Do not display pleasure at your brothers misfortune.“ [Tirmidhi]

  8. It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah[RA] said: "They said, 'O Messenger of Allaah, you joke with us.' He said, 'But I only speak the truth. “ (narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 1990) 

  9. He Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever imitates a people is one of them." (narrated by Ahmad) If we imitate the practices of a wrong community, we are one of the wrong doers.

  10. It was narrated by Mu'aawiyahibnHaydah[ra] that he heard the Prophet (pbuh) say: 'Woe to the one who talks to make the people laugh and tells lies, woe to him, woe to him.“ (narrated by al-Tirmidhi). 

  11. Based on the concept of April Fool’s day and authentic Hadith, let us judge by ourselves and say NO to APRIL FOOL’S DAY
