  1. Hacking Your Run By Emmanuel Garcia

  2. While strength training is necessary to increase your running ability, there are still a few things you can do during your runs to take it to the next level.

  3. Interval Runs 10-20-30

  4. One way to increase your overall fitness is to engage in some high intensity interval training (HITT). However, sessions can run long. But there is a way to fit the benefits of HITT into a shortened period of time.

  5. After a warmup run, do 30 seconds' running at your easiest pace. Then for 20 seconds, kick it up to what you may try to hit during a tempo run. Finally, in the last ten seconds, begin an all out sprint! That is one circuit.

  6. After each circuit, take a two minute break and then do it again. Depending on your fitness level, maybe try it a third time!

  7. Fartlek Swedish Speed

  8. "Fartlek" is Swedish for "speed play", and that's the essence of this training.

  9. During the run, experiment with varying tempos and speed goals. Your body grows by adjusting to change, so switch it up!
