  3. COLLEGE/BEGINNING OF NBA CAREER ALLEN IVERSON ATTENDED GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY. HE PLAYED BASKETBALL THERE FOR ONE YEAR BEFORE GOING INTO THE 1996 NBA DRAFT.THIS IN 1996 THE 76ERS HAD THE FIRST OVERALL PICK IN THE NBA DRAFT. WITH THAT PICK THEY DRAFTED ALLEN IVERSON OVER ANYONE ELSE IN THE DRAFT! THE NBA DRAFT PHOTO AND THE GEORGETOWN CYMBAL.

  6. Famous 2001 FINALS Allen Iverson shoots free throws against the Lakers. Allen Iverson became the most exciting player in the league . He led the sixers to an NBA finals appearance in 2001.Allen Iverson had 50+ points in game 1 to lead the Sixers to a win . But Shaq and Kobe and the rest of the Lakers were to much for the Sixers . The Lakers won the next four games and won the NBA championship.
