  2. Mrs. Jones’ class visited the Museum of Discovery and Science. They saw an inchworm, earthworm, and caterpillar. The caterpillar was 7 cubes long. The inchworm was 3 cubes long. The earthworm was shorter than caterpillar but longer than the inchworm. About how many cubes long could it be?

  5. Answers range between 4 and 6 cubes long. Students should be able to relate this information back to their work with the number line and connecting cubes.
