Teaching Cycles • What is the situation at present • What needs developing • What are you going to implement to make this development – with theoretical rationale • Log of what you did • Evaluation of action - self (personal reflection - important element), peer, student • What are you going to do in the future

  9. Format for Teaching Cycles • 2 x Academic Style (Fully Referenced) Reports A 4-6 page report of the teaching innovation • Poster A poster presentation to be displayed at the annual “Innovations Conference”/ Induction Course

  10. Teaching Cycles (120 hours) tHE Scheme Teaching Peer Observations: Observations of yourself teaching (at least 2 by TA) Observations of others teaching (2) UWB - 1 Peer Obs will be an assessment by the tHE Team Induction Advisor

  13. Timings • 1 cycle to be completed within first 12 months • Complete qualification • End of probationary contract • 3 years from induction date (then asked to attend another induction to update)

  14. After tHE • Masters level Cert (60 credits) • Registered Practitioner Status through HE Academy • 2 x 30 credit modules – Diploma • Dissertation - Masters
