CROP 2005 Summer Workshop

The goals of this workshop

  • Review (veterans) or introduce (newcomers)
  • CROP, the physics of cosmic rays and cosmic
  • ray detectors
  • Check out the health of the detectors and
  • equipment that teams brought
  • Gain hands-on experience working with the
  • detectors, data acquisition electronics card,
  • LabView software on PC that allows you to
  • take data
  • Make weatherproof enclosures for detectors
  • on school roof
  • Make plans for a Autumn 2005 experiment
  • with as many schools as possible taking data
  • simultaneously and uploading their data
  • files to a server at UNL for analysis

  • Friday, July 22.
  • Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
