Recomendaciones de UNICEF Iniciar la lactancia materna inmediatamente después del parto estimula la producción de leche de la madre. El recién nacido debe empezar a mamar lo antes posible (primeros minutos) no más de una hora después del parto.

  17. En muchos hospitales, no se acostumbra dejar mucho tiempo al niño con su madre, Puede ser muy bueno que cada mujer y sus familiares conversen esto con el equipo de salud que atenderá el parto.
