“The work that we are doing now is really ‘more of the same’. It’s the same type of casework that we’ve always done just with higher risk families. I had been building my skills already in this regard. I felt well placed to handle the changes...I feel I have retained the strengths I had around engagement but have made my processes and assessments more robust”.

“I am finding the eligibility assessment a lot harder than before because before these are not cases that we would take. Now there is a finer line between FACS child protection and what is not. Definitions around’ immediate risk’ and the role of BF are up for discussion. When the new SPG’s came in I felt not quite ready for the level and depth of casework required. I am still referring out...I am seeking far more information...We are facing new dilemmas in eligibility and casework now...”
