OBJECTIVES • To promote the human rights of (pwmhd) • To work for equality of right and opportunities for pwmhd • To promote and coordinate development efforts and self help projects • To carry out awareness campaigns on mental health disabilities • To reduce stigma and discrimination • To promote inclusion in all aspects of the society(economic,political, social e.t.c)

  3. ACTIVITIES • Organisational set-up • Visit to Zambia • Attendance of a Psychosocial Disability in Cape Town in 2011 • Attendance of a UN Regional Consultative Meeting on Torture(prisons & psychiatric institutions) in Addis Ababa February 2012.

  4. WAYFORWARD • Recognition as a local Disabled Persons Organisation • Recognition as a regional partner • Recognition as an international partner • Fundraise for the visibility of the organisation • Promote welfare of pwmhd • Be partners in mental health decisions because we are expertise in our own right

  5. CONCLUSION • As partners in Mental Health we look forward to working as equal partners. • We look forward to information exchange and sharing “We are the beauty in Mental Health – and nothing for us without us”
