  3. Tiny Monuments • A collaborative arts project based in the city of Bath. • Started through mental health funds, the group is now autonomous and its direction decided by members.

Manifesto • To give voice to adults with lived experience of mental illness. • ‘Tiny Monuments’: • monument – noun – |ˈmänyəmənt| • 3 a(1) : a lasting evidence, reminder, or example of someone or something notable or great. • Tiny Monuments proposes to create a testament to people’s experiences of life – not mental illness. • To normalise such experiences and create dialogue.

Method • We work through a combination of workshops and exhibitions. • The group… • Meets weekly to provide facilitation and support in creative sessions. • Exhibits their work regularly and welcomes discussion and feedback in ‘meet the artist’ sessions: • World Mental Health Day, 2012. • Bath Literature Festival, 2013. • Runs workshops at events (like this!)
