Pastoral Ladder • Students with repeated behaviour problems • Disrespect at classmates, teachers, school staffs, school properties • Regular absenteeism/tardiness to lessons/school • Bullying (physical, verbal, cyber, emotional) • Abuse, harassment & inappropriate language • Vandalism computer violation • Theft • Inhibiting academic learning

  6. ANTI-BULLYING POLICY • Students should inform a trusted adult (parents, teachers, other school staff, coaches, helpers) as soon as possible. • During term time, students may post a message through the VSA Help Centre – the button is located on the school intranet. This will send a message to the Deputy Principals. • The trusted adult must inform the class / homerooms teachers within 1 school day of the report being made. • STAGE1 • STAGE2 • Homeroom teachers meet with all individuals concerned separately and confidentially. • A summary of the case and the action plan should be made on guidance records. • The class / homeroom teachers conduct review meetings with each student separately to review and discuss the effectiveness of the action plan. • Head of Year (HOY) meets with students and parents to formulate a further action plan that includes consequences for continued bullying. • HOY informs Deputy Principal. • STAGE3 • STAGE4 • Deputy Principal and HOY meetwith students and parents to issue a behavioral contract with further consequences for continued bullying. • Deputy Principal records meetings, issues behavior contracts and informs the Principal.

House points / Merit System • Stated on Report Cards • Awards given in Whole School Assembly • Reflect students’ positive performance • Linked to the learner profile • Improved academic performance / conduct • Good citizenship / leadership • Contribution to school • Contribution to House Events • Gold award (75 merits) • Platinumaward (100 merits) • Silver award (50 merits) • Bronze award (25 merits)

  13. Promotion Policy • Achieve a minimum of 28 points in the 8 MYP subjects • Students at risk • Parents will be notified by mails at the end of term • Deputy principal(Academic), Mr Harrison, will meet parents with HOY • Concrete & practical action plan is requested
