  8. Downloading Your Forecast

Setting Up Your File Download 1 1 4 2 3 5 Select or type in a Start Date and End Date (optional) Make “File Format” equal “IBM Spreadsheet” and wait until screen refreshes (10 sec) Make “Timeline Patterns” equal “Hybrid view: 6 weeks of daily buckets and 46 weeks (Sunday)” – no other choice will show any PCD data in download In “Data Measure Selection Box” choose a data measure, or choose more than one by holding down on your PC’s “Control” key while clicking on each one you want Click the “Next” button to go to the next screen

  10. Using the Download Filter Click “Add All” seven times, waiting until the yellow highlight moves down to the next line

  11. Save Your Filter to Use Next Time 2 - Enter a name for your filter and click “Save” 3 – Click “Next” to start download 1- Click “Save” to save your filter (next time you can “Apply” this filter instead of going through seven steps)

  12. Download is assigned a number – note it

  13. Use menu on left to go to “Alerts – Inbox” In “Message Category” drop-down box, choose “Upload/Download”

  14. Download message is in “Alerts – Inbox” Clicking on this message will show you how many records are in download

  15. Download file is also in “Alerts – Inbox” Click on this link to download your file Congratulations! You’ve saved your Forecast Download file.

  16. Using the Excel macro to review your data and make a Commit

  17. Download the SCPM Macro Tool Use menu at left to select “Macro Tool” and click “Save” on “File Download” popup screen. You will have to unzip the file to use it.

  18. SCPM Macro is an Excel-based Program Click here to open your saved Download file

  19. Each PN/Site/Supplier/Subgeo has its own lines

Buttons at top create and save Commit upload file These buttons let you copy “Proposal” (your forecast from last week), “Forecast” or “Order Book” (OEM suppliers only receive this) directly to the “Commitment” line This button lets you save your “commitment” as a file which can be uploaded into SCPM (WARNING: Each upload file must be for one PCD Manufacturing Line only) These buttons let you choose what two quantities that Excel compares in the “Delta” and “Cum Delta” lines. The check box indicates whether you want RSC Stock included as a commit in the current week (yes if checked)

  22. Uploading file is easy Choose “Upload File(s)” from “Upload/Download” menu Click on “Point_in_Time” radar button Click on “Browse” button to search for saved Commit file on your PC Click on “Upload” button to complete upload

  23. Upload is assigned a number – note it NOTE: Error file number does not mean there were any errors in your upload.

  24. Use menu on left to go to “Alerts – Inbox” In “Message Category” drop-down box, choose “Upload/Download”

  27. Use Search screen to find all or some parts If you do not enter any search terms, you will get a listing of all of your parts (you can use “*” as a wildcard in your search)

  28. Select all or some parts to view Click top box to select all parts on page, or click individual parts Last Step is to click “View” Click this to select all parts on all pages

  29. This icon leads to “View/Update by Subgeo” Or use one of these to copy FC or Proposal to Commit line

  30. Pop-up screen for making commits Choose subgeo (if any) from dropdown box Always finish by clicking “Update”

On April 1st, PCD becomes Lenovo • You may currently be receiving forecasts for both PCD and x-Series parts. • There is no way to tell them apart, and some are common. • Both will continue to send forecasts to you through SCPM. • x-Series will stay a part of IBM. • Before April 1st you will be issued a second SCPM user ID, so that you will have one for IBM x-Series and one for Lenovo. • Please log in with each user ID and see if you have forecasts in one or both of them.
