  1. Big Rock Candy Mountain! What do Haywire Mack, Burl Ives, and the movies O Brother Where Art Thou and Runaway Jury have in common? The song “Big Rock Candy Mountain!” The lyrics of the song describe a traveling hobo who comes down the tracks to find peace and perfection at the BRCM. According to the song, Big Rock is a place where the handouts grow on bushes, the cops all have wooden legs, and you sleep all day next to a spring of lemonade.

  2. Circleville

  3. Circleville boasts of their infamous Robert Leroy Parker, better known as Butch Cassidy, who spent his youth there during the 1870s and 1880s. “You can’t believe the movies! Butch Cassidy died in bed… (not) with his six guns blazing in a murderous shootout with soldiers in Bolivia… (He) was using the alias William Philips when he died of cancer in 1937.”

  4. Panguitch Panguitch is a Native American word meaning big fish. The pioneers first settled the valley in March 1864.
