  3. What did you observe about the food, clothing, and shelter of the Hopi Indians?Where did they live? How did that impact the way in which they lived?

  4. Food • Corn, beans, squash, pumpkins • Cotton and tobacco • Hunted deer and other game • Gathered nuts and berries • Cornbread, baked beans, and soup

  5. Clothing • Cool clothing • Men wore breechcloths and moccasins • Women wore dresses made of cotton called mantas that usually covered one shoulder

  6. Shelter • Pueblos made form adobe • Adobe bricks were made from baked mud, stones, and straw • Flat roofs with openings for people to climb through • Ladders to get in and out
