  1. Blog1: Emersongrow.com Mistakes to Avoid When Transitioning to Indoor LED Plant Lighting LED grow lights are slowly but steadily taking over as the most popular type of indoor grow light in all parts of the world and if you are still using the more traditional types of grow lights then it is about time you made the shift to LED. There are many reasons that can be put forward to explain why LED plant lights are so popular but the most convincing one is because they are the most cost effective of all the lighting solutions while, at the same time, they are still the best yielding. By using LED UVB Light you not only get better yield from your plants but you are able to do so at only a fraction of the cost. It is, however, important to note that transitioning to LED lights is not exactly a walk in the park unless you want to shock your plants intentionally. It should be a gradual process taken in steps each of which has been properly prepared in advance. There are also several common mistakes that you might want to avoid during the transition. One such mistake is overwatering the plants. Under normal conditions, overwatering of plants usually leads to problems in nutrient intake and plants that are overwatered do not find the need to develop a stronger root system the way other plants do. Because LED plant lights have been known to reduce evaporation and improve water conservation in plants, you are going to have to readjust how you water your plants and when you water them in order to account for the difference. Another common mistake during the transition is failure to heat the plants properly. Since LED grow lights do not provide the same amount of heat that the plants were used to you might have to provide an alternative source of heat so that temperatures are kept optimal.
