Jamie Theakston has been busy showing off his amazing physical transformation
after dropping three stone in a year.
The former Top Of The Pops presenter, now best known for hosting a show on
Heart FM, was challenged by Men’s Fitness to get into shape back in 2015.
Jamie agreed, and now the 45-year-old has lost half his body fat thanks to some
serious hard graft and dietary changes.
In his youth, Jamie was a keen fencer. But in the last few years his eating habits
and work regime – plus a lackadaisical approach to nutrition – started to
take their toll on his general health.
‘I didn’t know the difference between protein and carbohydrate and had never
taken much notice,’ he explained.
‘I’d be in the studio at 5am, then I’d have a breakfast at 6.30am and maybe
another one at 8.30am, and it was sausage and bacon sandwiches, tonnes of
coffee. Looking back it’s kind of shocking,’ he told the magazine.
But a combination of healthier eating and exercise – mainly tough weight lifting
and pull-ups – has helped him get rid of his 38in waist this year.
Former Live And Kicking host Jamie claims the physical change has come with
‘You can see it in the little things, like running upstairs: a year ago, I was carrying
an extra three stone,’ he said. ‘I feel brighter, my complexion’s better, all of those

three times a week, and replaced bacon butties with chicken, steak or salmon
