  14. MVP = Mitral Valve ProlapseOne of the more common heart valve conditions. Valve functions improperly.

  15. RHD = Rheumatic Heart Disease Damage to the heart, especially the valves as a result of rheumatic fever. May have inflammation of the myocardium.

  16. Of or related to the atria and the ventricles. AV = Atrioventricular

  17. In the upper part of the right atrium, Is a bundle of neurons known as the heart’s natural pacemaker. SA = Sinoatrial (node)

  18. ASHD = Arteriosclerotic Heart Disease

  19. A hole between the atria, if not fixed blood will go into the right atria, enlarging the right side of the heart. 0 ASD = Atrial Septal defect

  20. Fatty deposits in the arteries, thus narrowing the arteries. CAD = Coronary Artery Disease

  21. This is a congenital heart defecting caused from the foramen ovale not closing shortly after birth. PFO – Patent foramen ovale
