Botnia LL offers an excellent environment for efficient ICT innovation piloting combining: • Established partnership with the IT industry in Sweden and worldwide as well as local and european SME´s • Significant experience and available assets for efficient Involvement of real-users in RDI processes • Future Internet Research Excellence Our main focus Horizon 2020 areas are within the ICT LEIT 2020 Workprogramme: • Big Data Research and Innovation and take-up, • IoTand Platforms for Connected Smart Objects, • Human-centric Digital Age, • Cybersecurityand Trustworthy ICT, • Open Disruptive Innovation Scheme • FIRE+ and experimental driven research To adress different societal challenges such as Energy and Health and Wellbeing …but also other human-centric focused-areas including innovation piloting and ICT usage

What is your living lab allabout? • Started in 2001, Research-based LL • A viable PPP with it´s mission to develop and utilize new knowledge for viable ICT Innovations with responsible and sustainable impact. • Matured from a Real-life human-centric testbed -> Open innovation environment -> Professional piloting facility • Partners of the EIT ICT Labs • ICT-focused: Botnia Living Lab use-cases - in total more than 50, include applications in the domains of Security, Energy Efficiency, e-Participation, Health and well-being, Sports and Culture, Mobile Media, Smart City etc • Integrates Future Internet R&D, Human-centric design and evaluation with Support for innovation take-up and growth • Key competence: Efficient methods and research expertise for planning and performing user-involvement activities (Founders of the FormIT LL-methodology) • Key capabilities: Professional management and performance of pilots in real life setting including both technology and involvement of the entire value-chain of the actual solution being tested incl the end-users
