  1. All About My Family Hope You Like It!☻ By: Nicole

  2. Historian The ethnic history of my family is French Canadian. There were no special foods that my family ate being French Canadian. Most French Canadian people like to go to Quebec, Canada. French Canadian people still went to school like we do now.

  3. Historian Life where my family was living was great to them. They did not live in an empty or a crowded place. They liked where they lived. Also they lived in a nice home. Nothing big was going on in the world when they left their home.

  4. Historian A couple things were changing when they left their home. Plus places were being re-built when they were leaving. When they left their home not many other people left when they did. When they arrived in the U.S they said it was exciting. They liked the U.S when they arrived. They did not live in the same house they did when they were in the U.S.

  5. Economist Before my family came to the U.S my Grandmas dad was a carpenter. Also he really liked his job. My Grandmas job was to go to school. My Grandma was not the only one who did that job because everybody went to school. They made a living in the U.S by my Grandmas dad being a carpenter. When they came to the U.S they had a lot of money.

  6. Economist My Grandmas dad had the same job in the U.S as he had before. Also my Grandmas dad got more money for being a carpenter in the U.S then before.

  7. Geographer The country where my family originated was very nice. Also the country where my family originated was busy. The one thing they liked special about it was the Canadian national exhibition (like a street fair). The country my family originated was in between big and little. In the U.S they settled in Detroit, MI (1st in CA for 6 months).

  8. Geographer My family found a home within one week. It took them a couple of months to settle in the U.S. They chose Detroit, MI because they liked it and they had family there (cousins). They got to the U.S by driving. It took about 1 week to get to CA. They came to U.S January 1957. They moved to the U.S because my Grandmas dad wanted to for more opportunities.

  9. Political Scientist There was not political reason why my family came here. The economy was not bad when they came here. My grandma thought the economy was fine and how it was working was fine. Her current president did not play a role in my Grandmas decision because there was no president in Canada. My family fit in good because it was very similar to Canada. It was not hard to fit in to them. They were already fit into the American culture. Also they liked the American culture.

  10. Cool Facts: • In Canada there was not a president instead there was a queen who was Queen Elizabeth #2 in 1957 which is when my grandma went to the USA. • . You can get paid $2,200-12,000 per month as a carpenter.

  11. Cool Facts • Quebec, Canada is a mainly French-speaking community. • First my family were in Canada then California then Michigan! When my Grandma arrived in the U.S she was only 15. • Quebec, Canada is the largest Canadian province in the area, and the second largest in the population section.

  12. Thank you… • Thank you Mrs. Fry ☺ • Thank you Grandma Pat ♥
