Open Entry- Weekly Enrollment 4 weeks Job Readiness 2 weeks – Intense Job Search 8-15 students per cycle Compliant with Part IV of the DHHR Federal Register 45 CFR Parts 261 LINCO is designed as an open entry program that individuals may enter through an orientation session offered each week. No matter which week of the four week cycle an individual enters the program, the design is such that every individual has the opportunity to complete all aspects of the program. LINCO offers 4 weeks of job readiness and other components that will be discussed later in the presentation. An additional 2 weeks of job search is also available working with a trained career advocate consultant. The program is designed to accommodate 8-15 participants at a time in each cycle. For TANF participants, LINCO is in compliance with Part IV of the DHHR Federal Register as an approved activity for Job Readiness/Search Activities - a dual activity to provide the participant with classroom training and actual job search. These include academic assessment, a screening for special learning needs, and an assessment of computer skills. A strong component of the program is daily group activities to enhance life skills and work skills of the participants. Participants will work in collaborative groups to strengthen team working and social skills. LINCO will use the KeyTrain curriculum to improve workkeys scores.
