  • Test you understanding of the material

  • For reviewing, provide a gauge to what

    is important

  • Personal notes are easier to remember

    than text

  • Writing down important points helps

    you remember before you study the

    material formally.

  • Teachers usually give clues to what is studying; write down the different methods you use.

    • Emphasis

    • Word signals

    • Summaries at end of class

    • Reviews given at the beginning of class

    of paper. Keep notes in binder – in order!

  • Review your notes NIGHTLY… this is the only way to achieve lasting memory

  • If you don’t understand a concept…ASK your study and work habits and to remember important information.

  • When a question is asked in class…

    • See if you can answer in your mind

      • If not is the information in your notes

      • If it is not, write the information down!

  • Read current notes nightly until you are

    tested.
