    • Jews diffused out of Palestine even before Jesus was born

    • Jewish colonies had already existed

      • Antioch, Rome, Carthage, Corinth and Alexandria

  • Christianity first initiated through the Jewish synagogues

    • Saint Paul took Gospel to Jewish regions of Asia Minor & Greece

      • Followers of Christ were called Christians by their enemies in these regions

    • Many People (Jewish & non) were converted into Christians through this process

      • End of first century AD there were organized Christians all over

      • By the 2nd century- Christian communities spread

        • Egypt, North Africa and Gaul

    • This was only the start to forced conversions only expanding when land was being taken especially from explores and conquistadors who forced the indigenous people to convert

      • Trail of Tears- not directly but since they forced their culture on them they were forcing Christianity on them as well
