  4. Germanic Tribes • Strengths and weaknesses? • Appointment of rulers and generals? • System of Governance? • Where did they live? • Daily Life? • Funeral rites?

  5. The Franks • One of the largest Germanic Tribes • United under a warrior king named Clovis • The first Germanic King to adopt Christianity • Established Paris as the capital city • ‘Land of the Franks’ became known as France
