  3. This Module: Educational Games • In this module we will be designing educational games • Today: we will spend the whole class time playing a game

Form Teams • Based on chocolate type you picked • You will answer questions about games as a group • When it is your group’s turn, you choose which type of question you want to answer • If you give an incorrect answer, any other group can answer (first response wins; if a group member answers incorrectly, group cannot answer that question again)

  6. Collect Points • Collect points if your team answers a question correctly • We have two guest professors – you can call on one of them “once” to help you answer a question

  7. Final Game (3 parts) • In 2 minutes: • List as many “TV show” games as you can think of • List as many “language learning games” as you can thinking of • List as many “hand-eye coordination games” as you can think of

  8. Assignment • Due Sunday, May 11: • Read “Good Video Games, Good Learning” http://serc.carleton.edu/introgeo/games/goodgame.html • Write a short blog post about your favorite game, showing whether it has some of the characteristics of a good game in the reading above
