Sample Study Schedule • 3 rounds (~2–3 months) • First round: Overview • Make note of unfamiliar topics • Take Pearson Practice Test #2 • Second round: In-depth Study • Bulk of studying • Take Pearson Practice Test #4 • Third round: Final Review • Go over topics you have a hard time with • Take plenty of practice tests • Take Pearson Practice Test #3

  5. Pearson Practice Tests • Single test - $45 • Any two tests - $65 • All three tests - $85 • Recommended to take PT4 early on • Don’t save the hardest for last • Study Guide can be used as another practice test

Tips • Verbal Ability • Analogies and completing the sentence • Study common SAT terms, Word of the Day • Take a look at Dr. Collin’s Vocab list • Biology • Microbiology – bacteria shapes, Gram staining • Health – vitamins, diseases associated with them • Chemistry • Know your stoichiometry and limiting reactant reactions • Orgo: (1st semester material) simple reactions, naming • Reading Comprehension • Pick the answer best supported by the passage • Quantitative Ability • Work fast! Skip problems you don’t know right away!

  7. Other Information • Exam will take place entirely on the computer • No calculators allowed • No periodic table allowed • A laminated booklet with a dry erase marker will be provided • Score sheet will be provided right away
