  2. Zagorski Forms Specialists, Inc • Drew Zagorski, Sr. is the inventor of OZ Saferooms • Continuous Pour Steel-Reinforced Concrete Structures are rated the world’s safest tornado structure • Saferooms able to withstand all tornados and hurricanes • Installed on-site • Located in Rochester, NY • Primary market in Oklahoma R-I-T OZ Saferooms Project # 04024

  3. Project Description • Design and development of in-situ sensor package for assessing damage to OZ saferooms • Provide sensor, data acquisition, and instrumentation • Install sensor package into concrete structure during construction • Test limitations of saferooms in a destructive test • Compare results with computer simulation • Documentation in support refining the OZ Saferoom products • Project optimal design for larger structures to be built in the future R-I-T OZ Saferooms Project # 04024

  4. Have you ever thought about what happens to a structure when a telephone pole hits it at 265 mph? Would you like to help design a destructive test and drop a bus on an OZ Saferoom? Come find out! This is the Project for you!

  5. Engineers Needed • ME (1) • Structural analysis • CAD software (FEA) • Materials science • Mechanics • EE (2) • Sensor development and instrumentation for testing (wired or wireless) • Data acquisition and data analysis presentation • IE (1) • Design of experiments R-I-T OZ Saferooms Project # 04024
