Current Regional Transit/TDMPlanning Processes • Regional Transit Master Plan • Managed by COIC, operator of CET • Goals: • ID potential for transit to serve regional mobility needs. • ID Priority Service Needs for each Community and the Region as a Whole • Short and long-term • ID short and long-term funding sustainability plan.

Current Regional Transit/TDMPlanning Processes • Regional Transit Master Plan, cont. • Product due June 2013 • Tasks • Outreach and Engagement: surveys, public meetings, COACT, Council/Commission, etc. • ID current and future demand • Service Planning • Funding Analysis • Adopting Entity = COIC Board

Current Regional Transit/TDMPlanning Processes • Central Oregon [strategic] Transportation Options Plan (COTOP) • Purpose • Long range plan to help ID cost-effective investments to meet long-term travel demand in Central OR • Focus on intercommunity trips on 8 primary corridors • ID the best mix of transportation investments • 2030 timeframe • Inform local plans • Due December 2012

Current Regional Transit/TDMPlanning Processes • Central Oregon [strategic] Transportation Options Plan (COTOP), cont.Goals and Objectives • Meet long-term travel demand through cost-effective solutions • Public transit investments • Other viable alternatives to single occupant vehicles • Supportive land use policies • Reduce infrastructure costs • Reduce GHG emissions • Opportunities to inform and/or be informed by ODOT’s “Mosaic” Planning Initiative (aka “Least Cost Planning”) Note: COACT is Proposed as an Adopting/Implementing Body, so request to return to discuss further
