EL CARLISMO • 1876: Carlos VII es derrotado y se exilia • La vía militar abre paso a la política (catolicismo intransigente de Cándido Nocedal) • Tras la muerte de Alfonso XII el integrismo se escinde (1888). Se crea el Partido Integrista, minoritario excepto en P. Vasco y Navarra • El partido carlista se reestructura en las Juntas Tradicionalistas, con gran división interna

EL NACIONALISMO CATALÁN (I) • Influye en todos los demás (arraigo entre la burguesía) • El carácter centralizador del liberalismo choca con la cultura y lengua catalanas • Nace la Renaixença: primero con carácter cultural, deriva después en político • En la Primera República el federalismo se funde con el catalanismo (ValentíAlmirall) • Durante la Restauración el catalanismo reacciona frente a la concepción nacional centralista de Cánovas Prat de la Riba
