SIG Membership • SIG Definition: • General interest in the motor industry • Has attended at least one SIG meeting within the past 12 months • IMI membership is not a prerequisite of attending the SIG but the forum is used to promote the benefits of the IMI and all attendees are given IMI applications

  4. General Consultant MICg • Prerequisites of MICg membership: • Completed application with signature; • proof of insurance to a minimum level of £500k (higher if client require it) • evidence to support application; • client list so references can be taken up by MICg administration; • MIC Definition: • All SIG requirements; • minimum one years proven track record as a consultant; • experience relevant to their area of expertise; • all listed qualifications verified. • Qualities: • works to IMI code of conduct.

  5. Technical Consultant MICg • MIC Definition: • All MICg requirements; • specialist in their field; • able to provide expert advice; • able to provide a high quality written report. • Qualities: • good written communication skills; • works well within defined parameters • works to IMI code of conduct.

  6. Implementer MICg • MIC Definition: • All MICg requirements; • a trainer; • deliver a programme for a company; • could develop an idea; • would generally work to instruction. • Qualities: • Good command of a group; • communication skills; • works to IMI code of conduct.

  7. Developer MICg • MIC Definition: • All MICg requirement: • look at the business as a whole; • see solutions and develop strategies; • able to draw on experience and network connections to the benefit of the client. • Qualities: • confident at all levels in the business; • good communicator; • strategic thinker; • works to IMI code of conduct.

  8. Mentor MICg • MIC Definition: • All MICg requirements; • work closely with a company CEO; • draw from resources such as connections, employees and experience; • aid with strategic change; • provide global overview. • Qualities: • gravitas; • good one to one interpersonal skills • works to IMI code of conduct.
