  3. Gang Story • It was late and my brothers where out and of coarse I was in studying for a big math test. My mother and father where on their way home from work that night. They both worked together at a local bar and they both where bartenders. Like everyone in New York they walked to and from work. This night they where on their way home when it happened, they where only a block and a half at 34th street from the old house when a raging car burned out around the corner its wheels spinning furiously and tail swaying back and forth scrapping along the side of parked cars the car rolled down its window and as it speed by a man stuck out an automatic weapon and sprayed his bullets in hope to hit some of the local gang members that where hanging in the area. When the car finally speed out of sight and the commotion settled down the only people not standing happened to be the only ones who where innocent, my parents (5).

  6. The door flung open and the rush • of hot air attacked my face giving • me a farm summer chill throughout my body. • I step down the two cold concrete steps out of • the cooling shade of the trees out front my house • into the suns blistering rays and into thick air • I wondered into a busy street polluted with the sound of zooming cars • My neck becomes red and burned and my only escape from the suns powerful rays • Is the few trees hung over the cracked sidewalk with gum and candy melted to it • My feet stick to the candy and stick to the ground every other step until it wears off from • The constant drag of my feet • The birds sing in praise of the • nice day they have been granted with and other animals • chase each other on the tall green grass • as I pass by a small house on the corner I see • a old dog panting in the heat • drule slowly drips from his long tong that • just about touches the rocky stoop • its long face droops like a wet rag slung over • a close line and it head slowly turns and follows my every step • I come to a long parking lot waves coming from its black surface • I drag my feet until I reach the cool breeze of inside the retias • When the open the window I order a large mango water ice and • sit in the shade until there is not a drop left of the large snack • now I start the walk back

  7. Freedom Writers Journal Freedom Writers Journal • To get respect you have to earn it. There are many different ways of getting respect. But mostly to get it you have to give it. You give respect when some one treats you the way you want to be treated. Based on my answer in the film the kids get respect threw their actions such as taking over neighborhoods and stuff like that. The kids in the class give respect when they are respected and not looked down on like they are nothing

  8. A little Advise • If I where to give advice to a person in history I would give it to white people who had African American slaves. I would tell them not to have slaves and to let them work only if they get paid. I would do this because today their will not be as much racial hate and it could completely change history. If their where no slaves their would be no hate against whites and blacks, this might have changed peoples perspectives to other races and maybe Hitler might not have tried to kill all of the Jews and WW II might have never happened.

  9. Short Story • Once upon a time in Zimbabwe there was a little boy by the name of Janka. He loved candy but could never have because his parents thought it was a waste of time. Every day after school he went to the local candy shop with an empty stomach and open eyes. Every day he went in but never bought anything. He just watched in amazement of the stretched the taffy and mixed the chocolate. The owner of the shop ran the whole thing by himself. His name was blue Blackford but he went by the name of Hoppie. Every day he saw the little boy come in but he realized that he never bought anything. • One day when the boy came in Hoppie asked him if he wanted to try some of his new chocolate he was working on. At first the boy hesitated than wisped “I have no money”. Hoppie laughed and said “you don’t need any money” the boy grabbed the chocolate and gobbled it down quicker than any man could. Hoppie laughed again than asked “how would you like to help with the shop” the boy jumped up with excitement and agreed. Ever since than Hoppie taught the boy all he knew about candy and they ran the shop together ever since
