  3. Circulatory System • tadpole – 1 loop • adult - 2 loops • 2 atria– upper chambers of the heart • 1 ventricle- lower chamber of heart *they have a 3 chamber heart while we have a 4 chamber heart*

  5. Getting Around • adults have strong skeletons (support) and muscular limbs (movement) • eyes have transparent membranes so they don’t dry out

  6. Frogs and Toads • strong hind legs • webbed feet or toe pads • frogs – smooth, moist skin • toads- dry, bumpy skin

  7. Salamanders • amphibians with tails

  8. Amphibians in Danger • populations decreasing because of: -destruction of habitat -thin skin (absorbs moisture) -eggs with no shells *this makes them VERY sensitive to changes in the environment like poisons and pesticides*
