  2. What is Dual Enrollment / Dual Credit? Dual enrollment means that a student is taking a class that will be used for high school credit and for college credit • This is a pilot program for technical students in the West Alabama area • Tuscaloosa City • Tuscaloosa County • Hale County

  3. Who is eligible? • 11th and 12th grade students who have a 2.5 GPA or a recommendation from your principal • 10th grade students will be considered upon your principals recommendation • Students will be assigned slots through your high school principal

  4. Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Auto Body Repair Automotive Mechanics Barbering Carpentry Commercial Art / Advertising and Design Cosmetology Diesel Mechanics Technology Drafting Technology Electrical Technology Heavy Equipment Operator Industrial Electronics Technology LPN Office Administration Welding Technology What areas of instruction may I take?

  5. How much does it cost? • We will pay for your tuition and fees • You will pay for your books

  6. Student Benefits • Receive high school and college credit at the same time • You will be instructed by college instructors in state of the art labs • Cost of tuition and fees are free • Will enable you to receive certifications and degrees earlier, thus enabling you to find high paying jobs sooner • Will be able to pursue areas of interest not provided on the high school campus

  7. Student Concessions • Must provide your own transportation • Will be under the college schedule

  8. Point of Interest • You need to make sure that you are capable of passing college class work as it could determine if you do or do not graduate.
