  3. Integrating Missions Participants Will: • know what is meant by integrated missions • understand how CAP’s missions are integrated naturally • be able to describe what happens when missions aren’t being integrated • make own examples of integration based on unit’s individual specialty • develop an integrated plan to take advantage of the natural relationship between CAP’s three missions Unit Commanders' Course

  10. Integrating Missions Emergency Services Impact of Aerospace Education • The very focus of most of our SAR is a link to AE • Most of the technology CAP uses in SAR has roots within the aerospace industry: aircraft, GPS, microcomputer technology in radios, video equipment, digital imaging, and satellite radio communications. Unit Commanders' Course

  11. Integrating Missions Emergency Services Impact of Cadet Program • Provide trained, plentiful resources to assist in: • Administration • Communications • Ground Search Unit Commanders' Course

  12. Integrating Missions Emergency Services Impact of Cadet Program • Through ground search cadets provide another dimension of search capability - pilot’s loiter time is limited, if the target is found, pilots can’t jump out of the plane to make sure. • Frees senior members to do more specialized and complicated tasks. Unit Commanders' Course

  13. Integrating Missions Cadet Programs Impact of Aerospace Education • A mandatory component of the cadet achievement program • Cadet Flight Orientation Program an outstanding practical application of aerospace power Unit Commanders' Course

  14. Integrating Missions Cadet Programs Impact of Emergency Services • Provides cadets with vital skills and team training • Instills a sense of public responsibility and service Unit Commanders' Course

  15. Integrating Missions Mission Relationships Exercise What other mission relationships can you think of? Unit Commanders' Course
