  2. DHL EasyShip Commodity Export • Launch DHL EasyShip • Go to “Tools” • Select “Launch Export Utility” • Select “Create a new Export Definition” • Click “Next”

  3. DHL EasyShip Commodity Export • Select “Export Commodity Inventory” • Click “Next”

  4. DHL EasyShip Commodity Export • The following are selected as defaults: • Delimited • Comma as the delimiter • Include Field Names on First Row • “ as the Text Qualifier • Click “Next”

  5. DHL EasyShip Commodity Export • Select all fields for export by clicking the “>>” button • Click “Next”

  6. DHL EasyShip Commodity Export • Enter c:\dhlcommodity under “Save Export Definition to file” • Click “Next”

  7. DHL EasyShip Commodity Export • Uncheck any options that are checked for frequency/time of export • Enter c:\DHLCommodity.csv as the output file name. • The text of the file name must be “DHLCommodity.csv” or the import will not work • Click “Finish”

  8. DHL EasyShip Commodity Export • Click “Exit”. The Export is complete

  9. DHL EasyShip Commodity Export • Open DHLCommodity.csv file created from the EasyShip commodity export using ‘Notepad’ or ‘Wordpad’. • Do not use Excel for editing the file. It modifies the formatting of the file • Remove spaces and # from the first rows of the following column names (in the first row)

  10. DHL EasyShip Commodity Export • Note (No Action Required): ‘Unit of Measure’ is not exported from EasyShip. WorldShip will default the Unit of Measure to ‘Each’. • Note (No Action Required): ‘Unit Price’ is not exported from EasyShip. WorldShip will import the ‘Total Value’ into the Unit Price. • If importing SED information: • In the Schedule B field, remove the periods. For example ‘9101.29.1020’ should be modified to ‘9101291020’ • The Unit of Measure for SED information will be imported as ‘Number’ • Any SED commodities that have a license with an expiration date will fail due to date formatting issues. • Commodities can be modified after import if necessary. • Save the changes and file to x:\UPS\WSTD\ImpExp\Invalid then exit Notepad or Wordpad

DHL EasyShip Commodity Export • Download and save “DHLCommodity.dat”, InvImp.bin, and InvExp.bin to x:\UPS\WSTD\ImpExp\Commod • Download and save the “schema.ini” file to x:\UPS\WSTD\ImpExp\Invalid • Launch WorldShip • Select "Import/Export Data" • Select “Batch Import“ • Highlight “DHLCommodity” • Select “Next”

  12. DHL EasyShip Commodity Export • Click "Next" on the Import/Export preview • Click “Save” when the import is complete. Commodities can now be selected in WorldShip using the Commodity Editor • Any invalid records are saved to “C:\UPS\WSTD\ImpExp\ Invalid\ComInv.csv”; records can be modified in this file and re-imported using the ‘Default Import Invalid Records’ map type Commodity
