  8. Pulsed AC Wave Generator • The pulsed AC Wave generator is the inverted power output from the AIMS inverter that is fed directly into the phone line. • Its connection to the phone line is separated by a fast switching transistor that that is calibrated for a three second open switch state and a three second closed switch state. Line Signaling Circuit • Its’ sole purpose is to detect when a touch-tone phone is in the on-hook and off-hook position • A very critical component of the design project, its function is needed to determine when to terminate the pulsed AC signal to the phone line University of Michigan-Dearborn College of Engineering and Computer Science Spring/Summer 2009

PIC 16-F-690 Interface • It will determine whether a phone line is busy or not in order to open the connection to the Bluetooth chipset. • It will send the commands to the WT-32 Bluetooth chipset to hang up and/or answer incoming call as determined from the line detection circuit.   11. WT-32 BlueGiga Bluetooth Chipset & Breakout Board • WT-32 Bluetooth chipset contains an internal Bluetooth antenna that communicates with other Bluetooth devices. It can be preprogrammed for headset, cable replacement, or stereo transmission applications. • The Breakout Board is a mount for the Bluetooth chipset which allows the user to readily connect and disconnect wires from it allowing for easy, rapid prototyping without the need for soldering wires.
