  2. INPATIENT EATING DISORDER Inpatient Eating Disorder clinics are necessary for anorexics when their bad eating habits have led to physical problems that may be life-threatening or have reached a point of severe psychological or behavioural issues.

GOAL OF INPATIENT EATING DISORDER TREATMENT The goal of inpatient eating disorder treatment are: • Balancing Nutrition • Restoring Minimally Adequate Body Weight • Reducing Disordered Eating Habits and Behaviours. It may be useful for severely underweight children or in need of medical stabilization.

We have two hospitals, both based in North London, the first is at Ridgeway and is registered for 28 patients and the second is at Barnet and is registered for up to 16 patients.

  5. ELLERN MEDE INPATIENT TREATMENT PROGRAMMES Ellern Mede has been providing evidence-based specialized treatment for children and young people with eating disorder since 2000. The intensive programme provides inpatient treatment for patients with highly complex, challenging or chronic conditions. An inpatient treatment program combines several therapies into one treatment to give a patient a more intensive and well-rounded treatment aimed at giving them all the tools they need to be healthy and to live a more balanced life.
