  3. ICS Communication’s PlanMost Used Talkgroups • SWAT used both SWAT 1 and SWAT 2 during their operations. • ICS OPS was used by dive and boat teams to communicate with OPS Sec. Chief. • 1K-Reg was used by ISP for operations inside the resort. • 1K-Event-1 was used by ISP for Event related operations.

  4. ICS Communication’s PlanIssues • When 911 Dispatch was monitoring and talk groups from the 911 Center. The phones and other radio traffic made it difficult for the dispatcher to monitor effectively. • When 911 Dispatch was assigned to monitor SWAT from the Command Post.  They were somewhat handicapped trying to use a radio with one hand and type with the other.  They could have used a headset with a different style PTT.

  5. ICS Communication’s PlanAAR Comments • No communications radio problems • More Communications available than needed, nice to finally have that. • Every agency could finally talk to every other agency with the same radio. • Having a 20 radio cache on hand, programmed and ready to operate, was an excellent plan. We could just check out a radio when needed.
