  2. Overview of Donations to VES in 2013-2014 • Books for IRLA Program$629.25 • Playground Covering Fund $1500.00 • 5th Grade Field Trip $1702.33 The majority of our donations will be determined after the end-of-year expenses have been submitted.

  3. Additional Contributions to to VES in 2013-2014 • Sponsored FREE family fun events (Bingo Night, Cookies with Santa, Ice Cream Social) • Donated new equipment for the PE Department with Coke Rewards points • Purchased supplies for special events like Birthday Club, Red Ribbon Week, Winter Wonderland Week, Food of the Quarter, Field Day, and the End of Year Reading Goals Celebration • Sponsored All-Pro Dads monthly morning meetings • Founded and sponsored the VES Chapter of the Kids Care Club • Created and compiled the school yearbook • Purchased Boosterthon T-shirts for all VES students • Recognized VES Staff with a special Staff Appreciation week in May • Provided hospitality & purchased food for events, including the Back to School Breakfast for VES Staff, Great American Teach-In, Kindergarten • Boo-Hoo Breakfast& FCAT Staff Breakfast • Implemented the Walking School Bus Program

Goals for End-of-Year Donations • Renew A.R. for 2014/2015 $4349.00 • Renew Brain Pop Software$1275.00 • Purchase New Laptops $1116 per unit (20 are needed) • Summer Budget for incoming PTA $3000.00 • Donation toward the Playground Shade Cover Fund (to be determined after end-of-year expenses) *We have raised $8758 so far!

  5. Boosterthon Recap • Total amount pledged $39,234 • Total amount collected $35,910 • Total amount outstanding $3,324 *91.5% of all pledges have been collected as of May 21 • Total profit for VES at 52% $16,673 (after $2000 program deposit) • Total meals donated to local food banks: 215

  10. Awarded a ‘Fight Hunger’ Grant • Last week we were notified from generationOn that we’ve been awarded a $250 grant to use toward a project to ‘Fight Hunger’. They would like us to focus on childhood hunger. • We will be working with the administration to create snack packs to deliver or handout over the summer for our students that may need some assistance (students currently on free/ reduced lunch).

  16. VES Spring Book Fair is Open Now! • Please visit the Book Fair being held in the Media Center tonight! • Final day to purchase books is tomorrow • Proceeds from Book Fair sales go directly back to our school for the purchase of new books in the Media Center.
