5. What a TAV is NOT • The purpose is not to evaluate or accredit • The purpose is not to suggest facility repairs • The purpose is not to be critical

6. How do Schools Receive a TAV? Through: • TCTW State Network Services: Up to two from SREB annually • States: Varies - Memorandum of Understanding • TCTW Contracted Sites

TAV- Site Visit Schedule • Day 1: TAV team arrives (afternoon)– • School presentation; • Team orientation to TCTW Priorities, to the building and to receive assignments for observations and interviews • Day 2: Classroom observations; Interviews; Team Debrief and Consensus • Day 3: Exit Conference; School Feedback

Details of the AgendaSecond Day • TA Team assembles at assigned site location 30 minutes prior to beginning of school. • Observations/Interviews in the morning • Interviews/Observations in the afternoon • Team will meet after close of school at assigned location for debriefing. • Debriefing – three-five hours

15. Classroom Observations –Procedures and Protocol Team Members: • Visit each classroom 10-15 minutes • Complete classroom notes form, taking detailednotes • Gather supporting evidence such as assignments, tests, scoring guides, syllabi, etc.
