  2. Types of Seedless Plants There are simple plants in nature which don’t have seeds. For example Ferns, Algae, moss. Ferns reproduce by spores. Spores are special storage systems for reproduction which have all the genetic information. Next Fern life cycle

  4. Algae Another plant without seed is Algae. Algae was the first type of plant on earth. Algae must live in or near water. Algae Mosses Brown Red Green Liverworts sargassum Hornworts

  5. Types of Algae-Phylum Algae are three types based on phylum They get names from the pigments found in there cells.

  6. Life cycle of Algae Life cycle of Algae: Algae reproduce by fragmentation and by spores. In the sea, which is such a stable environment. Algaeattaches to rocks by a holdfast. Spores settle and grow into gametophyte. This makes anisogametes which form a zygote which grows into the sporophyte generation. The sporophyte and gametophyte generations look exactly alike.

  7. Red Algae Red algae can grow up to be several feet long. But they can't grow up to brown algae. Red algae is even found in food! Found in types of food and clothing. Ice cream, dressing, chocolate milk, and frosting.

  8. Brown Algae Found in tropics it needs sunlight to produce food.

  9. Green Algae Green Algae Some may live in unusual places.

  11. Vascular Plant They have vascular tissues. Unlike other seedless plants they do have special adaptation. -waxy covering -roots that enable water gathering. -system of tubes transport nutrients Ferns

  12. Mosses, liverworts, and hornworts are tiny plants that live in moist places. Found on wet rocks, damp tree barks, muddy banks or streams. In some cases they might cover the ground like a fuzzy green carpet.
