  8. LIFE OF ABRAHAM Abraham is a model of faith to us today because • He always obeyed God perfectly in his life. • Over the course of his life, his faith grew to trust God completely. • God chose Abraham to initiate his plan to save mankind.

  9. LIFE OF ABRAHAM With his special, covenant relationship with God, Abraham • at times suffered fear, discouragement, and disappointment. • always stood boldly for truth in the face of potential opposition. • always understood what God’s will for him was.

  10. LIFE OF ABRAHAM Abraham’s life teaches us that when we disobey God, He will • forsake all His promises to us. • protect us from any resulting harm, if we only turn back to Him. • let us suffer the consequences, while still accomplishing His plan.
