  1. Skeletal and muscular system By: TEAM NAPOLIAN DYNOMITE!

  2. Skeletal system The skeletal system is controlled by the nervous system. It is also responsible for the movement. Our joints let us move our bones too. The skeleton is the framework in your body to keep support. Bones make up the skeleton.

  3. Skeletal system continued 206 bones form the skeleton in your body. The Brain is protected by the surrounding skull and the Heart and Lungs are protected by the Ribcage. Bones are connected to each other by Ligaments. The skull with the Brain.

  4. Skeletal system cont. • Diseases : • Osteoporosis is a disease millions of adults get as they age. It causes bones to lose calcium and to become thinner. Thin bones are weak and can break easily.

  5. Muscular system The muscular system is made up of 650 muscles. Some of the muscles in the body move bones. For example the muscles in your arm move the bones there. The muscle provide everything in your body to move.

  6. Muscular system continued • CARDIAC MUSCLE: It’s a muscle that’s a heart its self. • DIESEASES: muscles sometimes hurt. To much exercise can make your muscles sore. A sprain is more serious injury. A sprain is a torn or pulled ligament. • SKELETAL MUSCLE: skeletal muscles move bones. The strongest skeletal muscles are connected to the spine. They support your body and help you stand tall. Skeletal muscles are also called Voluntarymuscles because you control them. Many Voluntary muscle are used to ride a bike. In order to pedal, your brain tells your thigh and calf muscles to move. • SMOOTH MUSCLE: much of our internal organs are made up of smooth muscles. They are found in the urinary bladder, gallbladder, arteries, and veins. Also the digestive tract is made up of smooth muscle as well. The smooth muscles are controlled by the nervous system and hormones. We cannot consciously control the smooth muscle that is why they are often called involuntary muscles.

  7. Joints The joints connect the bones in your body. All the bones in your body except the hyoid bone in your neck form a joint. The shoulder is a ball in socket joint. The elbow is a hinge joint. The joint for your wrist is called your Wrist Joint
