  6. Employment Policies Extract from Statement of Terms and Conditions of Employment for uniformed staff “The Service provides facilities and time for the maintenance of fitness standards. It will be your responsibility to ensure that you continually maintain the required levels of fitness throughout your fire service career. Fitness is tested regularly and staff failing to meet the criteria will be removed from operational duty. Should you fail to maintain the required level of fitness following further guidance and support, the Service may terminate your employment subject to the relevant notice period. ”
