The library is open 7:30 – 3:30 on Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 7:55 – 3:05 Tuesday 7:30 – 3:15 Friday You can check out books • Before School • After School • During Class, Break, Or Lunch (with teacher permission & hall pass) Any library closings will be announced on WCAT News and posted on library windows.

  3. Circulation of Library Books • You may check out two books. • Books are loaned for two weeks at a time. • Overdue fines of 5 cents per school day are charged for overdue books. You can recheck an overdue book.

  4. EJHS Library Media Center now has an OPAC. What is that? Online Public Access Catalog • To search the library catalog for a book • Go to any media center computer and click on EJHS Library Search. • Go to the school website and click on EJHS Library Catalog.

  5. To Check Out a Book • Select a book. • Take your book to a media assistant. • Tell the media assistant your name. They’ll need your last name and first name. • Sign the checkout log while the assistant checks the book out to you.

  6. To Check In a Book • Place book in drop box if you are finished reading it. • Bring book to a media assistant if you need to recheck it. We may not recheck a book to you unless you bring it to us.

  7. General rules No candy or gum. Sit unless checking out resources. Talk quietly when you must talk. No more than 4 students to a table. Students who do not obey rules 1-4 will be asked to leave.

  8. There are many materials available for you to use in the library • Scissors • Glue • Rulers • Colored Pencils, Markers, or Crayons • Hole Punches

  9. Computer Use • No more than 2 students per computer. • Do not use the Internet without Mrs. Senn’s permission. Only use the Internet for school research. • Always sign the Internet log before going online. • Do not change any settings on the computer. • Printing costs 5 cents for black-and-white pages and 25 cents for color pages. You may only use the printers for a school assignment.
