The old man spoke to me in a way that forced my attention. Could it be that his wisdom came from a greater knowing? From spirit? From heart?“The only monuments worth building are those in the hearts of others,” the words drifting like winter’s breathe.I heard without listening, and the distraction of youth made me forget. Until in my middle years I visited his resting place to sit and remember, and my heart was filled with his monument. I wept.
