  1. 數位說故事的教育意義與設計 林奇賢 探路者網路學習研究室 國立台南大學數位學習科技學系 service.linc@msa.hinet.net

  2. What’s DST ? 數位敍事 (Digital Storytelling) Everyone has a story to tell. Technology now allows anyone to tell it in their own way. Digital stories are short films made by people like you using computers and personal photographs. BBC Telling Lives

  5. Why DST ? Digital Storytelling 的教育意義 Digital storytelling combines the strengths of oral storytelling with multimedia and communication tools in the perspectives of learning. It is not only a new form of presentation that leverages the power of music, image, video, and narration to create stories about people’s lives, their work, and experiences and is shared online via Internet, but also a compelling learning tool of constructivism that provokes the process of reflection.

  6. Why DST ? 提昇資訊素養與學習效能 It can help to develop multimedia and telecommunication literacy with producing. It can help to develop and reinforce self-reflection with organization and narration. It can help to improve learning performance with story recall.

  7. DST is a Critical Element in Learning DST is a critical element to the academic program, partly because it forces students to communicate in a different way -- a way that requires them to really know the material.

  8. Why DST ? Digital Storytelling: Convergence

  9. Gen YES students helped create a digital-storytelling exhibit for the school's open house. Students even went beyond the classroom and used their digital-storytelling skills to document the educational value of a local nature preserve and popular field trip site. Their presentation was the centerpiece for an annual fundraising banquet held by the local nature-preserve organization. http://www.edutopia.org/economic-stimulus-education-technology-california

  10. Math teacher Telannia Norfar came to teaching after earlier stints in telecommunications and journalism, so she appreciates real-world applications of learning. To make sure her ninth graders at Northwest Classen High School, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, see those connections, too, Norfar develops projects that put math concepts to work in authentic ways, and she adds technology to the mix whenever possible. http://www.edutopia.org/economic-stimulus-education-technology-oklahoma

  11. Authentic Questions In one project, students use algebra to analyze variable pricing of local cell phone plans. "All students either have or want a cell phone," Norfar says, so this topic is a natural. Advertisements from cell phone companies typically emphasize low monthly rates, but additional charges -- such as for texting -- can push actual costs higher. Norfar, she adds, asks students to "look at all of the details of a phone plan to create an equation that will reflect the real cost."

  12. Emerged with DST Her students have prior experience using Microsoft's PowerPoint, a slide show application that comes with most PCs, but she teaches them how to improve their presentations by making storyboards to organize their thoughts in five well-designed slides. The result: presentations that not only demonstrate student understanding but also deliver a valuable financial-literacy resource to Northwest Classen families.
