Importance of ELAS • The ELAS affects students’ eligibility to test and be scored. • A new student is added to the student information system (SIS) with an ELAS of to be determined (TBD). • The student is administered the Initial ELPAC. • The assessment is scored, and then the student’s ELAS is updated in CALPADS. • The student is administered the Summative ELPAC if the student is an EL. • The assessment is scored and can be evaluated for reclassification. 2018‒19 ELPAC Pretest Administration Workshop
